Shire Coaching and Training has grown over the last 18 years to provide executive, business, and personal coaching, as well as group facilitation and training, to executives, business owners and individuals, both in Australia and internationally.
Barbara Anderson is the Managing Director of Shire Coaching and Training and is a fully certified coach and trainer. She provides clients with the skills, knowledge and attitude to be, do and have whatever they desire. The key focus is on executives/managers/leaders to effectively produce results while living a joyful life. Barbara also managers a team of coaches for larger assignments. Barbara started training and facilitating groups in the mid 80’s, and first trained as a coach with Results Coaching Systems, in Sydney Australia in 1999, and has been coaching professionally since that time. She has also studied coaching with Thomas Leonard (Coach-U / Coachville), Dr. Anthony Grant (University of Sydney), The Coach Training Institute (CTI), Ren Coaching Model at the Top Human Institute, Shanghai, China, and various NLP workshops, and others, and read just about every book on the subject!
Barbara is a senior coach, trainer, assessor and mentor in the coaching community, and an active member of the ICF, achieving the credential ‘Master Certified Coach’ in 2006, renewing it in 2009, and holding the role of Australian Coach Credential Leader from 2005.
Barbara was awarded the ICF Coach of the Year 2008.
Barbara coaches clients from all areas of the word. Barbara has run workshops in the Australia, U.K, Norway, China, Singapore, New Zealand, India, and has coached or is coaching people in many countries from the Netherlands, France, and UK to Malaysia and Singapore, and one Captain of a luxury cruiser sailing the world!
Barbara has an extensive background in Corporate, Business, Information Technology, Management, and Training and Development. Over the past 18 years Barbara has worked with a range of corporate and small business clients as a Trainer, Consultant, Facilitator and Coach for their Business and Personal Development.

Barbara has a very personal, interactive and practical approach to facilitation. She uses experiential learning and adult learning principals, which ensures participants can apply new skills, knowledge and behaviours to the workplace and life.
As well as training and coaching, over the past 3-4 years Barbara has also been delivering Keynote presentations to small and large groups on a variety of topics, to meet participant requirements. Presentations are always engaging and practical providing a WOW factor to any event. Barbara really connects with her audience and their issues and leaves the audience with inspiration to do something different when they leave.

My Personal Approach
Being able to motivate and encourage people to reach their full potential is a privilege. It's what drives me both personally and professionally.
I've always felt a strong need to make a difference to the lives of my clients, friends and family. When I assist the people around me feel fantastic, I feel it too. A classic 'Win Win'.
I like to take an interactive, practical and personal approach, and remove the fear we all feel when making significant changes in our lives. Together, we create a road map to make your change happen, and I encourage you through each and every step.
My personal and business skills and experiences have been gained from working in Training, Development, IT and Management. So whether you need one-on-one Coaching, or are corporations requiring a Facilitator/Coach for groups or individuals, I have the skills and background to inspire and affect change.

I lead a busy and balanced life. In addition to my work, I love to walk, sail, ski (both water and snow), swim, and generally keep fit. I enjoy socialising, eating out, sipping wine (both colours), and spending time with family and friends. I also love adventure and to travel and my friends say I’ve have been just about everywhere. I am continuously undertaking my own personal development and I am committed to making a difference in others lives. I contribute financially to organisations making a difference in third world countries such as World Youth, World Vision, and the Hunger Project. As a volunteer I assist with an organisation (www.sailability.org) facilitating sailing for people with a disability
(see photo), and with organising projects and Leadership training and coaching with World Youth International (www.worldyouthinternational.com.au)

Shire Coaching & Training has a ‘pool’ of excellent coaches and trainers, who we bring in on assignments as required.
- All trainers hold the Certificate 1V Training and Assessment (or equivalent), and have experience in programs they run.
- All coaches have undergone extensive training and assessment, and have been coaching professionally for at least 2 years.
- All coaches are members of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Most hold ICF Credentials.
